It's Been A Bad Day!

What a day! Last night I wasn't feeling well, but hoped it would pass. Unfortunately, it did not and this morning I felt like crap. Being a teacher makes it hard to miss work, so I figured since I was awake and had the kids up that I would take a stab at going to work. On the way there, I felt in a daze and probably shouldn't have been driving!

I ended up taking the second half of the day off and coming home to sleep. When I picked up the kids from daycare, it was raining out. On the way out of Miss D's house, I slipped on the wet stairs and fell hard on the concrete sidewalk. Even with pants on, my knees (below - looking oh, so sexy - not!) got scraped up pretty bad and my ankle is bruised, but functional. I dropped Loco in the infant carrier when I fell, but he was fine (I took the brunt of the accident) and only cried b/c he was scared (plus, I was crying).
DH always teases me b/c I am not the most coordinated person. We always joke and hope that our kids have his dexterity and coordination! So far, it looks like they are lucky and don't take after me :) Loo was so sweet when we got home . . . she held my hand from the minivan and told me to be careful b/c she didn't want me to slip. You gotta love that girl!

I just hope tomorrow is better . . .

OMG you poor thing. I know your pain. I slipped off a curb at a train station once in MD. I can laugh about in now, but I cried the entire 30 minute drive home because the strawberries on my knees were stinging so bad. You are coordinated though, you took the fall and your baby didnt. Thats something to be proud of.

I'm a constant knee injurer and I totally understand your pain. I hope you feel better soon. I've fallen with my niece in hand once and my dog and kept them both up!
