This week was my first week back to work. Overall, I am happy to be back. It allows me to have a little time for myself away from my biological kids, though being surrounded by my 150 other kids and 4,000 students in the halls, cafeteria, and bus area is not always fun! But, the 20 minutes alone in my new ride is wonderful. I get to pull my hair back, open the moonroof, crack the windows, and crank the radio - it is grand!
Being back to work has its downsides . . . the biggest is that I have to pump! Well, technically I don't have to do it b/c I could be like many women and switch to formula, but that is not what I want for my baby & me. I am a card-holding, official member of the "Boob Nazi" club! Pumping is time consuming, annoying, and makes me a packrat to/from work everyday! But, I know that it is the best for Loco and feel a sense of pride for my commitment to him. This allows us to have a continue with our beautiful bond and create a loving relationship that I will cherish forever.

I did this with both kids until I got staph and the meds wouldn't let me pump any more, so we made the switch to formula... but I think it's great that you are doing it!
OMG Nik - He is "uncomfortable" with BF'ing. That is ridiculos! If you want to do it, you really need to work on his attitude b/c it takes a supportive husband to make it happen!!!!! My DH is sad that my breasts are not "his" exclusively, but is so supportive!
Momma - Good for you to do it as long as possible; sorry to hear that you had complications that can be really heartbreaking. It upsets me when women don't even try!
