Checking in . . .

Too much to do in too little time - isn't that how the saying goes?

Today is the last day of school for the students; unfortunately, the teachers have to work until Friday! The last day is usually crazy and we have to chase the kids out of the building, while trying to maintain a fight-free environment. They just want to hang out with their friends and take care of any "unfinished business" before summer :)

We all survived this past weekend with my family visiting Houston and piled into our house (Thank God for the new and improved house). It was an interesting time! I have lots of stories and took tons of pictures that I will be posting up on Flickr soon.

There are so many times in a day when I say to myself, "Oh, I want to blog about that!" Of course, when I finally have a free moment (or one that I stole - like now), I can't think of a thing! Go figure . . .

Last night I had a very vivid dream (the kind when you wake up tired b/c you didn't feel like you slept) and in the dream I was pregnant with baby #3. I remember being upset, then proud, then freaked out . . . lots of mixed emotions. Right now, I am feeling very comfortable (and frequently overwhelmed) with the family I have. How can life be so full of mixed emotions? One minute I am very happy and the next stressed; I can feel love and heavy dislike in a matter of moments for same person. I am ready for summer break - I hope I get a break!

I have those same emotional mood swings where one moment I want to eat my kids' cheeks because they're so cute and the next moment I just want to eat them so that I don't have to deal with them anymore.

"Life is like a box of ..." you know the rest. I couldn't help but think back to those exciting yet hectec last few days of the school year. Some students I was ready to be rid of and others I hated to see go.
But the real definition of mixed emotions is your mother-in-law driving over a cliff in YOUR NEW caddy, ROFL. I keed, I keed.
