Dealing With Stress . . .

I think that I am officially old and definitely out-of-shape! My body is boycotting the stress that I am under. The whole buying a house in two weeks is not fun. How are we supposed to pack our current house, while keeping it clean enough for someone to see it with little notice? Thankfully, we had two showing this weekend - yipee! Last year when we had the house on the market, we only had two showings (total) in three months.

This morning, when I woke up (grrrr - to the springing ahead an hour), I felt a little "off" and did my usual stretches in the shower. When I got out of the shower, my back spasmed and I almost collapsed! DH heard my cry of pain and jumped out of bed to help me. Since I plan on being off Friday for the closing, I forced myself to come to work; needless to say, I feel like shit today!
Yes, I am making fun of myself!

In March, I made a new blogger friend, CameraDawktor. We have had fun getting to know each other and have chatted a few times on Yahoo! Messenger. I saved these tid bits from one of our conversations to share later, because I thought there were some insightful and valid things said by me! Some times that is rare - LOL :)

"We all must face our true self - whether or not it is pretty. All we can hope is that each day we strive for something and try to be something better."

"People don't have to be perfect. Once more people realize that, the better the world will be."

"I try to let my 'personality' come out on the family blog, but end up being very vanilla there."

"I eat for many reasons. One is b/c I can afford to have anything I want and couldn't as a child."

About using blogging for coping in substitution for alcohol or food . . . "It is much healthier and gives you a track record of life. You can't go wrong with that."

About children (specifically Loo) whining . . . "Oh, I hate it more than words can describe. It is worse than nails on a chalkboard."

I blog because I have a rule about eating and being on the computer at the same time - not allowed...therefore I'm not eating constantly....

Hey I made your blog! Sweet! That is just crummy about your back. Now you will definitely have to hire the movers like I suggested because you won't be able to help lift anything!! Hope this won't put a damper on your packing. Take care of yourself!!!! I know that's so hard right now with so much to do.....

Stretches in the shower...Hm, I"m going to have to try that. Well, minus the back thing.

Hope you're feeling better. Back pain BITES!

Moving is so stressful, and even more so when you have a family. I hope to not go through that again any time soon.

It's always fun meeting new blog friends, isn't it?
