Been Too Long! Where Has My Mind Gone?

I miss my mind . . . hahaha!

I mean . . . I miss posting to my blog, (psst - this thing is called, "Inside AL's Mind").

This weekend, I spent all my "blogging time" on the family blog (please comment here, I would love to know if you visited it). It needed some updating and reformating (still a work in progress). I posted tons of new pics of the kids. They are my little angels; however, I saw a spark of devil in Loo this afternoon when she was B-A-D!

I had her in time-out for yelling at me. It went something like, "NO MAMA! I DON'T WANT DINNER! I WANT A SNACK!" She will be lucky if there is any snackfood in the pantry tomorrow - then she will know who is in charge! I was tempted to grab a garbage bag on the spot and start throwing it all away, but that would have sent her into a meltdown and we were already in dangerous territory.

So, to time-out she went and went and went and went. Needless to say, she was not being cooperative about the process. I just wish kids would figure out that if you stayed in the "punishment spot" that it would be a much easier and quicker thing! So, I thought I had her in there for the last time for her three minutes and began clearing the table for dinner. I heard her moving around, but could tell out of the corner of my eye that she was in the same area and continued to ignore her. MY MISTAKE - LOL! Next thing I know, she is at the backdoor and running out of it to the playset!

Oooooohhhhhhh, I wonder what my neighbors thought when they heard me run outside after her! I told DH tonight when were were chatting online that they were either laughing or in shock! I can't remember exactly what I said in the heat of the moment, but I do remember I refrained from cursing at her (thankfully) and told her, repeatly, that she was in trouble and in time-out. For a second, I paused and hid my face behind part of the playset to laugh - I couldn't help it! Damn, she was smart for thinking of that - little shit!

Finally, I decided it was time to catch her and followed her full steam ahead. Thankfully, no one could see us b/c I am sure it was not a pretty sight. Both me running after her and Loo's kicking and screaming when I scooped her up. She was returned to time-out, but the original lesson was lost. Now, I had to lecture her for running out of the house . . . I guess I will have to nab her next time for talking back!

It was a great weekend! I got to visit with a lot of friends Saturday when I hosted a Pampered Chef Kitchen Show and spent today relaxing (for the most part - see above). Since, I cleaned like a maniac yesterday morning, I boycotted laundry and will be paying the price all week. Oh, well!
Here is the little devil and her protege in the chair I use for time-out.
Yes, my children are barely dressed! Please don't be too upset or jealous - I know many of my blog friends are writing about snow. The weather has been perfect here in the 70's! Loo loves tank tops (aka - princess tops) and would wear them everyday, if we let her.

ah - tank tops... wish we could be wearing those - I sent the kids to daycare today in long sleeve t-shirts and sweatshirts...

The fam blog is looking good... we go through the "no dinner - I want a snack" or Cereal... we are switching to cherrios and rice krispy's - getting away from the good stuff... it's not good.

YOu know, I thought kids would be easier than dogs b/c at least you can communicate with children and explain things. Now, I'm not so sure:)
