The decision has been made . . .

After considering all of your helpful comments, my need to vent, and my hubby's need to be sarcastic 24/7 - I decided to start a separate "family blog". I just shared the decision of DH and he seemed really excited and happy. Funny thing is that he asked me what the difference would be with what I do on my personal blog versus the family one. That is a good question, b/c my current blog is mostly family oriented, but I don't feel comfortable giving out the address to my mom, dad, etc. b/c of my bitching and sharing of sensitive memories that could be taken wrong. I love my parents, hubby, and extended family, but they don't need all the details or to hear about my horrible day when I have one (99% of the time, I share with DH everything, including feelings, posted here). Sometimes it is just best to leave stuff like that out to the general public that may or may not judge you, but if they do judge . . . you don't have to be at the next family birthday or holiday next to them feeling uncomfortable.

So, I will keep you posted on the address and when we go "live"! Right now, I am feeling really happy about that decision - it will bring the focus of this blog back to me (which was my original intent). My family is part of me, but many times consumes me . . . I know most of you can relate!

Until tomorrow, when the uncensored sharing continues - AL

P.S. I will be joining the MeMe Monday fun soon and have already begun drafting my "100 Things About Me" list!

I must say it is a wise move..

let this blog be the place you can do whatever you want without worrying about if "famly" is going to see it..

I must agree with christina - you will be happier without the family finding your blog... my brother knows about mine, my hubby knows aobut mine - and I am considering moving but they'd just find me again anyway...lol

Great choice. I must say everyone needs a little place of their own to just be them!

Can't wait!
