According To Loo: What Symbolizes Friendship?

To my three-year-old, an open garage door across the street symbolizes that her friends are home and available to play. Today we were over talking with her two best girls friends, Little C & Big J, b/c the garage door was open and she wanted to go over. Then we left to go home and snack (and hopefully nap) . . . when we were across the street, they went inside the house and closed the garage door. You would have thought it was the end of the world to Loo! She started crying and rambling on how the garage door was closing and she wanted to see her friends, etc. It was so funny!

I know how important this garage door means to her, b/c when she wakes up in the morning, she always goes to the window to see if it is open. She will tell me, "Oh, look Mommy, the garage is open - can we go over to see J & C?" Each day I say a mini-prayer that they don't grow up to hate each other when hellacious puberty hits and remain good friends. It would be an awesome story . . . to be friends, since birth!

Big J, Little C, & Loo in the bath from this summer!

I tried to find a non-bath picture, but I have none with all three of them together except bathing - they love bathes!

How cute are THEY? Oh man. It's funny how their little minds work. Yeah, if they hate eachothere it will make for some long high school years, lol.

I'm sure they'll be fine.

That's the sweetest thing. They sure are perceptive, aren't they? I hope the gararge doors will always be opened. :)

The teen years (in regards to the nature of friendship) are trying for ALL involved, especially parents. Buckle your seatbelt, you know, just in case.

The picture is sweet. And typically young childhood friendships last forever.
