The Sweetest, Not-So-Little, Hot Hand . . .

Loo is sick and had a 102 fever last night. She feel asleep early in our bed all curled up in the comforter - she was so cute! I carried her to her bed around 9:15 and she passed out. Every night, I sneak in to check on her and turn off the night light that she insists remain on when she goes to sleep (not out of fear, but so she can stay awake and play in her bed). Last night I snuck in and she woke up. So, we laid together in her bed and I tried to help her go back to sleep.

I must admit, I am selfish! One of the main reasons I laid down with her was b/c she was sick and wanted cuddling. This is different from her usual Miss Independent, Miss I Want Everything, Miss Whinny Pants three-year-old self! So, as a deprived Mother, I needed to take advantage of this opportunity. Normally when I lay with her, she wants "my arm" - she is obsessed with holding my right arm, grasping it for dear life, while she sucks her thumb. Last night she was so hot and restless that she didn't want the arm, instead she turned towards me and put her sweet, not-so-little, hot hand on my right cheek. Every once in a while she would stroke my cheek and tell me, "I love you, Mama" in her whispery, sick voice.

God, I love that girl . . .
My favorite, #1, bestest girl (as I tell her).
The little princess - our Loo Loo!

Get well soon - I hope Daddy survives the day with you!!!!!
