Oh, How I Miss Blogging...

Even though I have only been doing this for two months, it is funny how I miss posting and writing when I am too busy to do it. This past week has been H-E-L-L!!! I wish that I can say that it is over, but unfortunately I still have a lot to do before the holidays. Last week DH left for Thailand, so I get to handle all the holiday business myself. With final exams last week and a ton of grading to do (that I have not finished), I have not started any of my Christmas shopping.

Thankfully, Christmas is on Sunday and I have this week off! One benefit of being a teacher:) So, tomorrow is bust-my-butt-to-get-it-all-done day. Talk about a "to do" list...I won't bore myself or you with the details.

Some notables from the past few days...

- The final exam was difficult, but so far not many of my students failed. Good for everyone involved. Plus, this was my first check-out time as the Department Chair and all went well.

- My neck really hurts - Almost two months ago I feel asleep while nursing and got a bad kink in my neck. Well, it never went away and it hurts so bad that I would cry at times. This is not good! It even hurts to be on the computer (part of the reason I have not been blogging as much). I have been to the chiropractor twice ($25 a pop - yikes!) and will probably need to go two or three most times, at least, to work it out. Not that I like to admit this, but I am a fairly uptight person!!!!! Plus, it freaks me out to be adjusted on my neck. So, this doctor has really been earning his money with me! It took four different positions just to get my neck adjusted last week. At least I only cried with once! I would consider myself someone that is not a "wimp", so this obviously scares me. But, the pain is so bad that I have to go - please, please, please pain go away!

- My Christmas card looks great! Too bad it requires so much work to send them out. We are a family that uses this time as an opportunity to catch up. So, we send a LOT of cards out and write a letter, etc. No joke, it takes me days to get everything done and it is taking longer now that I have two kids. I keep telling myself that it is worth it and people appreciate getting the picture card and update letter...but, we don't get very many cards in return. I was just looking today and guesstimate that we get cards from only 25% of the people we send them to. This makes me think of the "present debate" that my husband and I have every year. I think I'll blog on that tomorrow.........

And now, my neck really hurts, so I must stop!
